Custom Cardboard Creations

One of the best parts of my job at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Akron is spending days designing, creating and cutting anything and everything out of our cardboard boxes. I am known throughout the entire TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® franchise system as one of the most ambitious cardboard creators, a badge I wear with honor.

Throughout my years here I have created everything from box costumes and backdrops, to zoo animals and cardboard boats. Below are some of my favorite -and easy, cardboard creations. If you are ever interested in making these yourself, shoot me an email and I will send you the instructions. 📦📦📦

Box Maze

This might be one of the physically largest box creations I have ever made. Using just about forty of our large size boxes I created this maze for a children's event in Akron. Creating this took more time than just throwing boxes together. I first created a map of how I wanted it to look then figured out what was feasible with some test boxes. One addition that was added day of was open spots throughout the maze. Having no light and just two "escapes" was a little intimidating so the addition of these spots really helped. They also made for great photo opportunities when children would pop out to their parents.

Tic-Tac-Toe

One of the more simpler creations is our TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Akron 'Tic-Tac-Toe' box game. All you need is nine of our smallest size boxes, printed letters, tape and string. This works well for large outdoor block party events and any event where children are present.

Oscar Party

Oscar Night is always a fun night if you are into that side of Hollywood and glamor (which I totally am😂). I was asked to create some backdrops, photo booths and props for an Oscar Night party being hosted at a hotel in Akron. All three pictured above were made out of our large wardrobe sized boxes. The Oscar Statue head was the hit of the evening, I should have made more.

If you want to check out some other themed parties I've dressed with cardboard, follow these links; Candy Land, Winter in the Wild, NYE and Summer Fun.

Bark at the Park

I love all of our animal events throughout the year, one of my favorites being 'Bark at the Park in Downtown Akron. I use this event as the unofficial beginning of marketing our annual Movers for Mutts® program that kicks off later in the year. Every year I am asked to create a photo booth for attendees and their furry friends, humans and adults the same love posing. The above is from last years event, the backdrop and props all made from our wardrobe boxes.

Little City

Another hit with the kids (and parents) is my cardboard 'Little City'. I always pull these out when I know I am near a children's area at an event, and the kids love them. I was actually shocked how long these kids would stay and color 'their' house during an all day event. I know parents loved them too as it gave them a reprieve from chasing them around all day. I created these houses by using our wardrobe size boxes for the house and large boxes for the roof.

Box Costumes

I am known throughout the entire TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Akron system as one of the most creative when it comes to Halloween Box Costumes. From dinosaurs to Barbie, boxes of wine and Easy Bake Ovens, I've had to top myself every year when it comes to box costumes. Check out some of my favorites here.
