Akron Children's Hospital Holiday Tree Festival

It's once again time to move over ninety beautifully decorated Christmas and Holiday trees! No Problem for our Akron franchise! Every week after Thanksgiving our entire TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® Akron team assembles to move these trees and other wrapped gifts. Thats eighteen to twenty trucks and about forty team members, it's a feat that starts early and takes all day but the pay off is truly magical.

These trees are auctioned off with all proceeds going towards Akron Children's Hospital, some of these trees go for thousands of dollars -the pressure is truly on for our moving crews. Our crews arrive between 7 and 9am and it is go time. Our team members spend time organizing and wrapping, loading and packing the trucks, it's truly remarkable to see. Meanwhile I spend my time snapping photos and talking to local news and radio who are on the scene covering the day.

Each truck is loaded up with five to ten trees all going to different homes and businesses across Summit County. Unloading and unwrapping the trees for local Akronites is always a great way to start off the Holiday Season for our movers and drivers. 🎄
